On October 12, 2023, at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan, former world champions Yukinori Oguni and John Riel Casimero faced off in a super bantamweight bout during Casimero’s debut fight in Japan. Coming into the fight, Oguni held a record of 21–2–2 (8 KOs), while Casimero entered at 33–4 (22 KOs). The bout started competitively, with both fighters looking to establish rhythm—Oguni using his movement and jab, while Casimero applied pressure and looked for power shots. However, the fight was cut short in the fourth round after an accidental clash of heads left Oguni with a severe cut. The ringside doctor deemed him unable to continue. Because the bout had passed the required rounds for a decision, it went to the scorecards. The judges returned a technical draw, bringing an abrupt and controversial end to the contest. 📍 Date: October 12, 2023 📍 Venue: Ariake Arena 📍 Location: Tokyo, Japan 🏆 Title: Non-title Super Bantamweight Bout 🥊 Result: Technical Draw (TD, Round 4 – accidental head clash) ⏱️ Rounds Scheduled: 10-Round Fight 📊 Records at the time of fight: Yukinori Oguni: 21–2–2 (8 KOs) John Riel Casimero: 33–4 (22 KOs) 🔥 A frustrating and anticlimactic ending, as a promising matchup was halted early due to an accidental head clash, leaving both fighters without a decisive result. -------------------- ╔═╦╗╔╦╗╔═╦═╦╦╦╦╗╔═╗ ║╚╣║║║╚╣╚╣╔╣╔╣║╚╣═╣ ╠╗║╚╝║║╠╗║╚╣║║║║║═╣ ╚═╩══╩═╩═╩═╩╝╚╩═╩═╝ to the channel people 00:00 Intro 2:45 Round 1 5:15 Round 2 7:25 Round 3 9:35 Round 4 -------------------- Follow me insta @charlessalbox facebook @charlessalbox #boxing #usaboxing #boxeocubano #canelo
