ONE Friday Fights 46 saw the two Thais battle out under Muay Thai Rules, in the 4oz, for the Featherweight World title. Tawanchai, the defending champion, came out on top after 5 back and forth rounds in what was a truly excellent contest. The two men showed off their skills in every area and this fight was a master class in Muay Thai fundamentals. In mixed martial arts fighters generally stand further away. They don’t sit in the mid range, the danger zone, one because of the risk of takedowns, and two because it’s dangerous in 4oz gloves and harder to protect yourself. One 4oz muay thai has proven this as there are far more knockouts than in the bigger gloves. Now look at tawanchai and superbon. They stay in the mid range for the whole time. This is how elite they are. They can operate safely in a dangerous range against an opponent that’s been flatlining other men. The skills are out of this world. #thebest #prostriking #muaythai #tawanchai #superbon #onechampionship
