#numberbonds #singaporemath #matholia Let's have fun with multi-link cubes and learn about the number 7 by making number bonds! First, we'll start by making a line of 7 blue cubes. This shows that 7 and 0 make 7 because we haven't taken any cubes away, we have all 7. Now, let’s change one of the blue cubes to a green cube. Look at that! We have 6 blue cubes and 1 green cube. So, 6 and 1 make 7. It’s like a little math puzzle with our cubes! Let’s swap more cubes! If we change some more blue cubes for green cubes, what happens? Can you tell me the new number bond? Yes, that’s right! 4 blue cubes and 3 green cubes. So, 4 and 3 make 7. Let's try another swap. What if we switch places and have 3 blue cubes and 4 green cubes this time? Yes, 3 and 4 also make 7! Let's swap another blue cube for a green one. Now what do we have? Exactly, 2 blue cubes and 5 green cubes. So, 2 and 5 make 7. What if we keep swapping until all the cubes are green? Now we have 0 blue cubes and 7 green cubes. That's right, 0 and 7 make 7! We just learned some cool ways to make 7 using different numbers of blue and green cubes. Now it's your turn! Try making your own number bonds with the cubes. Thanks for playing along, and see you next time!
