The founders of one of the early MOOC platforms have since altered their strategy and are not creating new MOOCs, leading some to believe that MOOCs have failed or become obsolete. However, the video argues that MOOCs have achieved substantial success. They've been incorporated into blended learning environments, with impressive participation statistics from institutions like a technological institute, where nearly all undergraduate students engage with MOOC content.
