Try the Bivol boxing style in your heavy bag workouts - it's a lot tougher than you might think! Chapters 0:00 Introduction 0:27 The Heavy Bag Workout 4:06 The Bivol Stance 5:30 The Bivol Guard 6:47 The Bivol Upper Body There are 3 key aspects of the Dmitry Bivol boxing style that I use in this heavy bag workout. First is the wide Bivol stance, perfect for repeated and efficient execution of the pendulum step. The next aspect is the high guard, which is just common sense. Bivol will sometimes drop the lead hand, buit at the same time he drops his body weight onto the back leg as an insurance policy. Finally is the Bivol upper body position. Bivol often squares his upper body, enabling him to absorb incoming power shots on his arms and also allowing an over-powered jab. The really tough thing about the Bivol style in your heavy bag workouts - it;s the burning of the legs with that wide stance. Try it, it's a serious workout.
