Every year in the small Guatemalan village of Chivarreto, something extraordinary happens. On Good Friday, hundreds of people gather to take part in a tradition that has existed for more than a century. The event is known as Boxeo a Puño Limpio. There are no gloves. No protective gear. No professional fighters. Just volunteers stepping into the ring with their bare fists. For the people of Chivarreto, these fights are not about fame or championship belts. They are acts of respect, courage, and spiritual devotion. What makes this tradition even more surprising is that women also participate. In this video, you’ll see several intense bare-knuckle fights between female fighters — moments filled with chaos, courage, and raw determination. Sometimes the fights end peacefully with handshakes. Other times, the brutal exchanges push both fighters to their limits. But in the end, one thing becomes clear: Inside this ring, there are no professionals… Only people brave enough to step forward.
