What happens when an arrogant martial arts master claims his fighting style is superior to Chinese Kung Fu? This Japanese master openly mocks the techniques of local martial artists, defeating one challenger after another and treating their traditional techniques as nothing more than worthless tricks. Then Donnie Yen's Chen Zhen walks through the dojo doors. What follows becomes one of the most iconic martial arts battles ever seen on screen—filled with explosive kicks, rapid footwork, nunchaku combat, and a fierce clash between two completely different fighting styles. But the story goes far beyond one legendary movie fight. Donnie Yen spent decades studying and training across multiple martial arts disciplines, including Wushu, Tai Chi, Karate, Taekwondo, Muay Thai, Boxing, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. His dedication helped transform his screen fighting into something far more convincing than ordinary movie choreography. From Fist of Fury and Once Upon a Time in China II to Ip Man, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and John Wick: Chapter 4, Donnie Yen has become one of the most recognizable martial arts stars in the world. This is the story of the arrogant master who underestimated Chinese martial arts—and the martial artist who walked in to defend its honor. This Japanese Master Mocked Chinese Kung Fu...
