Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson is widely regarded as one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time. After becoming the inaugural UFC Flyweight Champion in 2012, he built a legendary legacy by defending his title 11 consecutive times, a record that stood as one of the greatest championship runs in MMA history. His speed, fight IQ, wrestling, striking, and submission skills made him one of the most complete fighters the sport has ever seen. In 2018, following a razor-close split decision loss to Henry Cejudo, Johnson's career took an unexpected turn. In one of the most historic deals in MMA history, the UFC traded him to ONE Championship in exchange for former ONE Welterweight Champion Ben Askren. Many fans and analysts still consider it one of the most surprising decisions ever made by the promotion. Instead of fading away, "Mighty Mouse" proved he was far from finished. He captured the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix, engaged in an unforgettable rivalry with Adriano Moraes, avenged the only knockout loss of his career with a spectacular flying knee finish, and eventually became the ONE Flyweight World Champion. He retired as one of the few fighters in history to win world titles in multiple major MMA organizations. Today, Demetrious Johnson is celebrated as both a UFC and ONE Championship legend. Dana White has called him the greatest flyweight of all time, and his remarkable career was recognized with induction into the UFC Hall of Fame, cementing his place among the sport's immortals.
