Just 24 hours after Chungreng Koren delivered one of the biggest victories in Indian MMA history at Road to UFC, the mood changed dramatically. India's first UFC-winning female fighter, Puja Tomar, entered the Road to UFC main event against China's Shi Ming with an opportunity to build momentum inside the UFC strawweight division. Instead, the fight ended in devastating fashion as Shi Ming secured a first-round arm triangle choke submission. In this video, MMA analyst Andrew Lu breaks down: 🥊 How Shi Ming set up the submission finish 🤼 The grappling exchanges that decided the fight 📉 Why wrestling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu continue to be a recurring problem for Puja Tomar 🇮🇳 What this loss means for Indian MMA on the international stage 🏆 Whether Puja can still rebuild her UFC career after consecutive submission defeats Puja Tomar remains one of the most important figures in Indian MMA history, but after another loss via submission, difficult questions must be asked about her future at the highest level of the sport.
