BOXING – MEN'S BANTAM (54KG) FINAL | SEA GAMES 33 The Men’s Boxing Bantamweight (54kg) final at SEA Games 33 delivered a powerful and emotional moment as Jara Flint of the Philippines fell short in his quest for gold against Thailand’s Saengphet Thanarat, losing by unanimous decision. After the final bell, the pain was visible—not only on the scorecards, but on Flint’s face. The Filipino boxer was seen crying uncontrollably backstage, suffering from a deep cut on the left eyebrow, a clear sign of the brutal exchanges inside the ring. Blood, tears, and exhaustion told the story of a fighter who gave everything on the biggest stage. Despite the defeat, Flint showed tremendous courage throughout the bout, standing his ground against the host nation’s fighter under intense pressure. The silver medal came at a heavy cost, but it also reflected his heart, sacrifice, and willingness to fight through pain for national pride. SEA Games 33 once again reminded fans that boxing is not just about victory—it is about resilience, suffering, and honor earned punch by punch. 🇵🇭 Thank you, Flint Jara, for the courage and pride you showed for the Philippines.
