"Fool's Overture is one of my favorite pieces that I've ever written. It was very magical the way it came together. It was actually three separate pieces of music that I had for a few years and then, one day, they kind of all slotted together in what I think is a magnificent, kind of epic piece of music. I always imagined performing it with an orchestra, so when I did start playing with orchestras back in the '90s, it was such a thrill to play this song. I still get goosebumps to his day every time I get an opportunity perform it with an orchestra." ~Roger Hodgson Roger Hodgson, co-founder of Supertramp, is the singer/songwriter of this masterpiece, Fool's Overture. Roger, one of the greatest writers & composers of our time, originally had three separate pieces of music that one day magically came together and became this treasure. You can see Roger on tour this year performing Fool's Overture and many others - Visit http://www.RogerHodgson.com or http://www.facebook.com/RogerHodgson. This performance is from Rotterdam, Night of the Proms 1995. Roger gave us Dreamer, The Logical Song, Give a Little Bit, Breakfast in America, School, Hide in Your Shell, It's Raining Again, Take the Long Way Home & more. Although Roger & Supertramp's other co-founder shared writing credit, they actually wrote & composed separately with each singing their own respective songs: http://bit.ly/1Kfgu0W Share your experience of Roger's shows or what his songs mean to you~ "I was totally blown away.I've waited to see you live since 1970 when I first started listening to Supertramp. Your music has been with me through my teen years, the birth of my children and for many of my life events. Each song holds different memories. Seeing you live I was thrilled by the passion that you bring to life in each of those songs. I had tears running down my face at one point with such sheer delight. Thank you so much for your music." "This man is pure genius. He opened his concert with long way home and instantly had tears streaming down my face. Hi
