On December 11, 2010, at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, Amir "King" Khan defended his WBA light welterweight title against Argentina's Marcos "El Chino" Maidana in a bout aptly dubbed "Thunder & Lightning." This high-stakes showdown was promoted by Golden Boy Promotions and broadcast live on HBO. Khan started strong, knocking Maidana down in the first round with a series of body shots. He maintained control through the early rounds, showcasing his speed and precision. However, Maidana's resilience shone in the later rounds, particularly the tenth, where he unleashed a relentless assault that had Khan on the ropes. Despite the onslaught, Khan demonstrated remarkable grit, surviving the barrage and finishing the fight and winning by unanimous decision. 📍 Date: December 11, 2010 📍 Location: Mandalay Bay Events Center, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA 🏆 Title: WBA Light Welterweight Championship Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more boxing highlights and content! ╔═╦╗╔╦╗╔═╦═╦╦╦╦╗╔═╗ ║╚╣║║║╚╣╚╣╔╣╔╣║╚╣═╣ ╠╗║╚╝║║╠╗║╚╣║║║║║═╣ ╚═╩══╩═╩═╩═╩╝╚╩═╩═╝ to the channel people -------------------- 00:00 Intro 2:42 Round 1 5:00 Round 2 7:15 Round 3 -------------------- ✅Follow me ✅ insta @charlessalbox facebook @charlessalbox #boxing #usa #lasvegas #championship
