Junto Nakatani (JAPAN) vs. Andrew Moloney (AUSTRALIA) | 4K - FULL HIGHLIGHTS #boxing #sports

🥊 FIGHT DESCRIPTION: Junto Nakatani wasted little time showing why he was considered the superior force, using his size, strength, relentless output and pinpoint accuracy to put Andrew Moloney under tremendous pressure from the opening bell on Saturday night. Moloney showed tremendous toughness and refused to fold, somehow surviving wave after wave of punishment and coming within seconds of hearing the final bell. But Nakatani had one last devastating statement to make. With just 20 seconds remaining in the 12th and final round, the explosive Japanese southpaw unleashed a crushing left hand that sent the Australian challenger crashing flat onto his back. Referee Mark Nelson immediately stepped in and waved off the contest, bringing a brutal end to what had become a completely one-sided championship battle. Moloney was dropped three times throughout the fight, hitting the canvas once in the second, 11th and 12th rounds. The official stoppage came at 2:42 of the final round during the Devin Haney-Vasiliy Lomachenko undercard at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. With the spectacular finish, the 25-year-old Nakatani captured the vacant WBO junior bantamweight world title, improving his undefeated record to 25-0 with 19 knockouts. Already a former WBO flyweight champion, the devastating southpaw claimed a world championship in a second weight division, further cementing his status as one of Japan's most dangerous rising boxing stars.
