The making of an immersive 360 audio and visual experience, led by Yao Wang, involving more than 50 students across 7 majors. The recording was done using three ambisonic microphones (Zylia, Ambeo, TetraMic), attempting to forge a 320 piece choir by asking the 40 singers to shift their position around the microphones for every overdub. We also recorded 12 close mic-ed singers to have some freedom spatializing individual mono sources. Yao is a composer, sound designer and artist who developed a passion for music at a very young age.
