On March 11, 2017, at the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York, USA, former IBF middleweight champion David Lemieux faced fellow knockout artist Curtis Stevens in a highly anticipated middleweight showdown between two of the division’s hardest punchers. Coming into the fight, Lemieux was 36–3 (32 KOs), while Stevens held a record of 29–5 (21 KOs). The fight began at a furious pace, with both men looking to land power shots. Stevens enjoyed some success with his counters, but Lemieux was the busier fighter and gradually began backing his opponent toward the ropes. In the third round, Lemieux unleashed a devastating left hook that landed flush on Stevens' chin. Stevens was knocked unconscious instantly and collapsed through the ropes, prompting the referee to wave off the contest without a count. It was widely regarded as one of the most spectacular knockouts of 2017. 📍 Date: March 11, 2017 📍 Venue: Turning Stone Resort Casino 📍 Location: Verona, New York, USA 🏆 Title: WBC Continental Americas & WBO Inter-Continental Middleweight Titles 🥊 Result: Lemieux wins by KO (Round 3, 1:59) ⏱️ Rounds: 12-Round Middleweight Bout 📊 Records at the time of fight: David Lemieux: 36–3 (32 KOs) Curtis Stevens: 29–5 (21 KOs) 🔥 A short but explosive war that ended with one of boxing’s most memorable knockouts, as Lemieux flattened Stevens with a single left hook and reignited his pursuit of another world title. -------------------- ╔═╦╗╔╦╗╔═╦═╦╦╦╦╗╔═╗ ║╚╣║║║╚╣╚╣╔╣╔╣║╚╣═╣ ╠╗║╚╝║║╠╗║╚╣║║║║║═╣ ╚═╩══╩═╩═╩═╩╝╚╩═╩═╝ to the channel people 00:00 Intro 2:45 Round 1 5:15 Round 2 7:25 Round 3 9:35 Round 4 -------------------- Follow me insta @charlessalbox facebook @charlessalbox #boxing #usaboxing #canada #newyork
