This episode features Prince Puma and Johnny Mundo teaming up, a chaotic mixed tag match involving Chavo Guerrero and Sexy Star, and the arrival of Mil Muertes alongside Catrina, adding a darker edge to the show’s presentation. There’s also continued tension with Dario Cueto’s crew, plus more hints at the bigger stories being set up early in Season 1. The mix of cinematic segments and in-ring action is starting to feel like something completely different compared to WWE or WCW from the same era. In this video, I break down Episode 2, talk about what worked, what didn’t, and whether Lucha Underground is living up to the hype so far. If you’ve never watched Lucha Underground before, this series is a first-time watchthrough and retrospective all in one.
